You can read about The Slow Cyclist here. I’ve been collaborating with them for five years and have met some really great people along the way. I really like their concept of not rushing the cycling — the goal isn’t just to get up a hill, but to also get to know the landscape and the people in the places they visit.
My part in the project is a 2–3 hour walk between Criț (Szászkeresztúr) and Meșendorf (Mese), where participants mainly learn about plants, but if a bird happens to fly overhead, we take a look at that too.
A snapshot from the walk.
Arrival in Meșendorf.
The star species of the walk is the globeflower (Trollius europaeus).
